Design of Guilds

A guidebook with examples of key tree-based guilds, written by Bryce Ruddock and produced by Midwest Permaculture (USA)

The guide is useful for the specific species covered (Ash, Oak, Walnut, etc), for specific functions and tree types (Bee guild; Fruit tree guild; Evergreen guild), as well as for the general principles of guild design, including the range of functions and relationships that would typically be considered for guild design, whatever the climate.

Guild design is relevant for any permaculture project anywhere in the world, and is particularly relevant for permaculture learning and demonstration centres to demonstrate examples of guild design that can be used as a practical focus for teaching.
